Baking Tips

When I created the video, I left the biscuits on the counter and they were pretty expanded when I opened the can and a bit sticky, so leave them in the fridge while the oven preheats.

Its ok to add more cheese or even other ingredients like olives.

I also prefer fresh parsley over dried, but that choice is yours.

Pull Apart Pizza Bread with Pillsbury biscuits is an easy go to appetizer packed full of pepperoni, flaky biscuits, and melty cheese to make a hearty meal or a party appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 2 tubes of Jumbo Flaky Biscuits
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese or a pizza blend
  • 1 tbsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp. parsley flakes OR 1/4th cup fresh parsley
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 6 oz. package of pepperoni slices
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese shredded or shaved is great

Instructions

  • Prepare your pan with non-stick spray. You can also make your pull part bread with a bundt pan, 2-3 quart casserole dish or 9x13 pan with the same results.

  • Separate your Pillsbury jumbo flaky biscuits and cut them into eighths.

  • Set biscuits aside.

  • Cut the pepperonis into quarters. Set aside.

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine cut up biscuits, pepperoni, cheese, seasonings and oil.

  • Gently mix everything together; making sure the oil is spread out to all of the biscuits and coated well. I find that using my hands makes this process a little easier because you can make sure that all the sides are covered.

  • Pour the pizza mixture into your prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes uncovered.

  • Depending on how big or small your pan is will determine the final baking time so its best to keep a close watch so you do not burn.

  • Keep checking every 5 minutes until the biscuits are cooked all the way through. If you cook in a longer baking pan where the biscuits are spread out (SEE VIDEO), it will take closer to 30-33 minutes.

  • If you bake in a deep pan, it may take longer and you might want to put foil on the top during the final baking to prevent too much top browning.
