Description

Rangetsu and Sogetsu are twins. Ajin-blood flows in their veins, endowing them with beast-like abilities. This makes them coveted prey for nobles who want to raise their status: young men are forced to serve in the royal army, while women often end up as prostitutes. When Sogetsu shows particularly strong Ajin powers, he is sent to Prince Tenyou. There, however, he quickly falls victim to the intrigues of the royal court, leaving his sister alone.

Sogetsu vows to find out what happened to her brother at any cost. She disguises herself as a man to sneak into the prince’s palace. But nothing is as it seems at first glance, not even Tenyou herself. Will Sogetsu still manage to avenge her brother?

Rangetsu und Sogetsu sind Zwillinge. In ihren Adern fließt das Blut der Ajin, das sie mit biestartigen Fähigkeiten ausstattet. Das macht sie zu einer begehrten Beute für Adelige, die ihren Status erhöhen wollen: Junge Männer werden gezwungen, in der königlichen Armee zu dienen, während Frauen oft als Prostituierte enden. Als Sogetsu besonders starke Ajin-Kräfte zeigt, wird er zu Prinz Tenyou geschickt. Dort fällt er jedoch schnell den Intrigen am königlichen Hof zum Opfer und lässt seine Schwester alleine zurück.

Sogetsu schwört sich, um jeden Preis herauszufinden, was mit ihrem Bruder geschehen ist. Sie verkleidet sich als Mann, um sich in den Palast des Prinzen einzuschleichen. Aber nichts ist so, wie es auf den ersten Blick zu sein scheint, auch nicht Tenyou selber. Wird Sogetsu es trotzdem schaffen, ihren Bruder zu rächen?

Gli «ajin», una rara specie di creature metà umani e metà bestie, vivono ridotti in schiavitù dagli esseri umani: i maschi sono impiegati nell’esercito e le femmine costrette a prostituirsi. Quegli ajin che manifestano abilità speciali vengono invece inviati al palazzo reale come servitori e guardie dei nobili, cadendo spesso vittima di macchinazioni e intrighi di corte. Sogetsu era uno di loro e sua sorella Rangetsu non riesce a darsi pace. Decisa a vendicarlo, si finge uomo per diventare un servitore del vecchio padrone di suo fratello, il principe Tenyou. Nella sua ricerca di vendetta, Rangetsu dovrà destreggiarsi tra gli insidiosi complotti di palazzo se spera di sopravvivere!
